Main timeline

This part happens in the past. Consider this as a small background story.

Wavecrest family creates Celene INC.

AVU also prepares an aggressive method...

Celene INC. is an anonymous company destined to help big techs protecting data from malicious intents. Mr. Eric S. Wavecrest created the "xclude" protocol, a protocol that enable a perfect, end-to-end communication between 2 or more devices.
Despite this protocol being completely simple, it actually made lots of government crazy.

Unfortunately, in 20XX, technologies evolves rapidly, too rapidly. The xclude protocol become obsolete very quickly. And despite Celene INC. trying to implement "xclude v2", it didn't get a big success, causing Celene INC to close because of bankruptcy.

Meanwhile, AVU, owned by Charles Gasmi, took over Celene. Their very offensive method of protection: If one of them try to hack our client, get hacked in return. Every hacker trying to DDoS a company protected by AVU will get their DDoS turned against themselves.
Companies found this hilarious of creativity, mixed with the advantageous prestation cost.

AVU also made Deltaz.exe. It is a small Kiwi. He is a virtual assistant and a kind antivirus, respecting users privacy. Deltaz also features a "Tamagotchi" mode, where users can care for Deltaz by feeding, talking to, or playing with him.
Deltaz actually found a small success among families of the people working for companies that uses AVU software programs.

Celene falls, AVU lives, but Goggl kills.

During one of their Goggl I/O, their yearly conference, they announce the launch of The CyberSpace.

Summary of the announce

"The CyberSpace" is a VR world created by Goggl, accessible through a special VR headset, allowing users to travel within it whenever they want, even while they sleep.

  • This "Cyberspace" is essentially the Internet, encompassing all possible websites: Headbook, Goggl, Tweester, and even Ponytown; but in a more visual friendly environement.
  • Goggl Provides all the necessary to make your experiment better: Goggl services, games, videos.
  • Using upload/download, you can add custom content to your virtual environment.
  • This VR environment is currently in BETA. Expect some bugs and glitches.

And this is where the fun began...

Remember AVU lore? This is it now. Feel old yet?

Trojan.JS.27003.PTIOH is now in the wild. Coming from the wild. She has suspended the entire internet. The central government has mandated the best technologies based companies, mainly AVU, to fix this issue.
The Internet Reborn Act is widely voted, with 392 votes supporting it and 10 against. 37 people didn't vote.
PTIOH is surviving by cloning herself in 6 versions of herself.

Many times later:
The counter-program project named Cursor.sys, a hidden .exe program disguised as a system file, has succeeded in calming the main instance of PTIOH, but PTIOH Ⅵ still defeat AVU.

A year later
The daughter of Eric Wavecrest, Céline Wavecrest, with the help of the Goggl Assistant n°394, recreates Celene INC.
This time, Celene INC. will be a company destined to contain anomalies.
And by containing anomalies, it also means PTIOH copies.

important about Céline and her dad.

Céline never believed on a future for "xclude" protocol.
When her dad proposed to make a v2.1, she answers:
"My dear dad... No one care anymore about xclude. Who would care about a base2048 string as a key? No one. "

The efforts of AVU are declared as "inefficient", and are dismissed from working on the Internet Reborn Act. With the collaboration of Goggl, Celene get the remaining funds that was attributed to AVU for the project.

They effectively remove all traces of PTIOH on the internet, and contain a version on here within Celene INC.

Small clarification about PTIOH:

2 versions of her are remaining:

  • The main version has been contained by Cursor.sys in a physical, cyborg body.
  • The most agressive version being contained in Celene INC.

AVU being decommissioned for the reborn project put them in financial danger. Government allowed them to have a last hope funds, but it's barely enough.

WORK IN PROGRESS...

Notes:
Goggl is a parody of Google, just to be clear.

The cyberspace is inspired on how YouTube VR works on the "유튜브 시리즈" (Youtube Series) made by 소맥거핀 (somacguffin). Some differences to note is the fact that, in here, it works with all the internet.
Goggl Assistant design is also inspired by Google Assistant design from the same series, with the only exception that there are many of them instead of one.
